The Hellenic American Union presents the group art exhibition Alone in a Crowd curated by art critic Andrea Gilbert. The exhibition, held in collaboration with Athens Pride 2023,May 25, 2023, 19:00-22:00, at the Hatzikyriakos-Gikas Gallery of the Hellenic American Union and will last until June 24, 2023.

Works by 12 artists open a dialogue on individuality in the modern world. As its curator, Andrea Gilbert, notes: "The exhibition Alone in a Crowd explores the position of the individual in relation to the social as a whole. Twelve artists search for emotional and physical intersections of the personal and the social, the private and the public, as well as manifestations of the inside and the outside – on a labyrinthine, often inhospitable path.

Through the exploration of the condition of loneliness, isolation and alienation, loneliness itself is revealed as not necessarily painful. Rather, it provides a space for introspection, independence, self-affirmation, and ultimately empowerment of uniqueness."
