Her portfolio showcases her dedication to capturing the essence of our world. She goes beyond visits, to countries; she fully immerses herself in each location. Of observing cultures she actively becomes a part of them. This distinctive approach to travel photography distinguishes her as an artist who doesn't just freeze moments in time but forges connections, with the individuals and destinations she encounters.

Unlike travel photographers who prefer to visit tourist destinations Tasoula has a unique inclination, towards the unconventional. Lately she has been focusing her lens on countries and regions that are not commonly explored by the traveler. From Namibia and Algeria to India, China, Kashmir, Iran, Peru and beyond—these offbeat places have become her chosen playgrounds, for expressing her vision.
Her choice of destinations is a testament to her adventurous spirit and her desire to showcase the often overlooked beauty and cultures of these places. Tasoula's photographs don't just capture the landscapes; they tell stories of the people who inhabit them and the traditions that shape their lives.

What sets Tasoula apart as a travel photographer is her remarkable ability to connect with people on a deep and personal level. She possesses an innate charisma that allows her to break down barriers and become an integral part of the communities she visits. She doesn't just photograph people; she forges friendships and bonds that transcend language and cultural differences.
Her approach is not about being a detached observer. It's about becoming a participant in the lives of the people she photographs. Whether it's sharing a meal with a family in a remote village in India, joining in traditional dances in Peru, or learning about ancient customs in Iran, she approaches each encounter with genuine curiosity and respect.

What inspires you to explore and photograph different cultures and countries?
The world is a tapestry of cultures, each one unique and fascinating in its own way. I find inspiration in the diversity of traditions, lifestyles, and people I encounter during my travels. It's like discovering a new piece of art in every destination I visit.
How do you manage to become a part of the communities you photograph?
Building a connection with the communities I photograph is crucial. I approach people with respect and a genuine curiosity about their way of life. I take the time to learn about their customs, traditions, and language. By showing a sincere interest in their culture, I've been able to gain their trust and become a welcomed part of their community.

Can you share some of your favorite countries to photograph in recent years?
Absolutely! Over the last few years, I've developed a deep connection with several countries, including Namibia, Algeria, India, China, Kashmir, Iran, Peru, and many more. These places have offered me incredible opportunities to capture the beauty of their cultures and landscapes.
Can you share a memorable experience from one of your recent travels?
One of the most memorable experiences was in a remote village in Kashmir. I was invited to a traditional wedding, and the warmth and hospitality of the locals were overwhelming. I was not only able to capture beautiful moments but also formed lasting friendships.
What advice would you give to aspiring travel photographers?
My advice to aspiring travel photographers is to be open-minded, patient, and respectful. Approach each destination with humility, learn from the locals, and immerse yourself in the culture. Don't just take photos; tell the stories behind them. And most importantly, always be prepared for unexpected adventures and moments of pure magic.
